TAKING IT BACK TO MY ROOTS

This look was created for a design showcase in partnership with the Weisman Museum. We were to use "non-traditional" materials and to build off of the theme of "hospitality". I took inspiration from family meals hosted each summer filled with the best Mexican food imaginable. This garment was made from oil cloth, corn husks, black beans, dried hot peppers and handmade Mexican art.
